A group of young men aged 10 to12 years inquired about all the talk about "a new world" and a "consciousness change". I did my best to explain the concepts of a world more respectful of all the creatures of the earth and the earth itself. I talked to them about a kinder world full of love and compassion. They listened attentively as I told them about my view of "the change".
They asked what all the concern was about 2012. I explained to them some of the theories and predictions and stories.
The were very attentive and just listened. One looked up into the sky for several moments as if contemplating. The he said, "Well I was God or Goddess and I had to decide who was going to make up this New World I know who I would pick."
He went on to describe his selection of people he would choose to make up this new world. "I would pick two hockey teams, two junior hockey teams. (15-17 year olds). One team, the girls team would be from Canada. The other team the boys team would be from Russia."
I am always amazed at the minds of our youth. Him and the other boys agreed this would be a good selection and had many reasons why.
Hockey Players know how to get up early. They know how to focus and see what they want. "We learned to visualize in dry land training. " The know how to focus on the task even if everyone is yelling at them. They know how to take one for the team .The work hard and give it their all. They know about the right foods to eat and about drinking lots of water. They know not to eat sugar and drink soda and pop. they know how to say thank you at the end of the game even though they may have been dumped or punched. They know about respect and being polite, well sometimes they forget. They know not do drugs and not to drink. They know how to raise money by working or having a car wash. They know how to do many things in a day. They have to go to school, clean their room and take out the garbage and still find time to play with their friends. Some even play music and some are good artists. And their Dads usually get them to help in the garden.
And why the Canadian Girls?
The Canadian Girls are strong and "beautiful" one says with a smirk. . And my mom is a hockey player and she cooks good food. And Canadian Girls win Gold Metals at the Olympics.
And why Russian boys. Russian hockey players have had a tough time and want to have a better world. They train hard and love the game. They are really big, I know I had to play against them!
So there you have it.. Hockey Players to Create the New World.
One of the young men then went on to say if he was God he definitely wouldn't take those hippy type that don't know how to work and spend all their time smoking their pot. I also wouldn't take any of those protestors, they are too angry. Several agreed.
Fianally one of the more cheeky ones said, " You know what, In 2013 I am going to laugh at 2012."
