Half wrap means the hide wraps half way down the side of the frame. Full wrap means teh hide covers the whole side of the frame. Both are good. The full wrap does allow for painting on the sides where the half wrap does not.

Do you have a symbol, animal, logo or specific cultural reference you would like painted on your drum? Working together we can design your one of a kind drum. All Drums are hand painted mostly by myself. Other artisits skilled in a specific culture also paint drums. for example: A northwest coast artist may paint a northwest coast design.
The drums may be painted in oils, acrylics or pen & ink.

Drum Making Workshops -
After many years of drum workshops I am slowing down to focus on my art. Phil l'hironelle. a metis elder and dear old friend is an excellent workshop facilitaor. I can certainly pass you name onto him. There may be occassions where I will be helping Phil and his wife Giselle with the workshops, especially painting of the drums.
